Privacy Policy

VOJ Media ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Vincent Selvakumar mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address and phone number. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address and that provider's user identifier.
• Profile Information: You may optionally provide your date of birth, gender, marital status, occupation, church name, profile photo, and your city, state, country and PIN code.
• Shipping Details: If you order a printed book from our Book Store, we collect the recipient's name, phone or WhatsApp number and full postal address so the order can be delivered, along with your order history.
• Spiritual Experience Forms: If you choose to submit a testimony or spiritual experience form, we collect the answers you provide, which may include your name, date of birth, contact details and the account of your experience.
• Prayer Requests and Support Requests: The subject and message of anything you send through the in-app Prayer Request, Helpdesk or Feedback features.
• Viewer Profiles: If you set up additional profiles for your household, we store the label, the chosen content level (for example kids or teen) and the birth year used to filter age-appropriate content.
• User-Generated Content: Notes, bookmarks, highlights and reading progress you create within the App.

Information collected automatically:

• Device Information: Device model, manufacturer, operating system version and SDK version for compatibility and support purposes.
• Usage Data: Content viewing history, reading progress, song play counts and video view counts to personalise your experience.
• Push Notification Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens to deliver push notifications.
• App Version: Your installed app version for update notifications.
• IP Address and Activity Timestamps: Recorded when you use the App, to protect accounts against misuse.

Information we do not collect:

• Payment details. We never collect or store card, bank or UPI credentials in the App. Book Store payments are arranged separately over WhatsApp, and offerings are made directly through your own banking or UPI app.
• Precise or GPS location. Any city, state or country we hold is what you typed into your profile.
• Your contacts, calendar entries, microphone audio, or files outside the App. Adding an event to your calendar happens on your device only.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To provide and personalize the App's content (videos, songs, magazines, bible studies, prophecies)
• To save your reading progress, bookmarks, notes, and highlights across devices
• To send push notifications about new content, live streams, and ministry updates
• To register you for meetings and events (including DEDC events)
• To manage your PPD (Personal Prophecy Diary) access and content
• To take, deliver and provide tracking for Book Store orders of printed books
• To record and follow up on testimonies and spiritual experience forms you submit
• To respond to your prayer requests, support requests and feedback
• To improve the App's functionality and user experience

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google): For push notifications and phone number verification. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and the App contains no advertising.
• Google and Apple Sign-In: Used only to verify your identity if you choose to sign in with those accounts.
• Cloudflare: For content delivery (videos, media storage). Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• WhatsApp (Meta): Book Store orders are arranged over WhatsApp. When you choose to message us, the App opens WhatsApp with your order number and contact details already typed in; nothing is sent until you send it, and the conversation is then subject to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy.
• Laravel Cloud: For application hosting and database management.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers managed by Laravel Cloud. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Hashed passwords (never stored in plain text)
• JWT-based authentication tokens with expiration
• Rate limiting on authentication endpoints

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for analytics purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through the App's Profile section
• Update your personal information at any time
• Delete your account and all associated data (see our Data Deletion Policy)
• Opt out of push notifications through your device settings
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children, and an account may only be created by someone aged 13 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

Two features may involve information about a child, and in both cases it is entered by the adult who holds the account:

• Spiritual experience forms may be submitted on behalf of a child aged 5 or over. Only a parent or legal guardian may do so, and by submitting the form they consent to our handling of that information on the same terms as their own.
• Viewer profiles store a label and birth year so that content can be filtered by age. No account, contact details or login is created for the child.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without a parent's involvement, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
